This variety stands out significantly from the typical English rose, with a more natural character and a bushier growth habit. The flowers are a striking purplish red, developing singly with a shallow shape, opening in informal rosettes. The petals quickly lose the intensity of their colour as the flowers age. The fragrance is that of an old rose, enriched with strong hints of lemon zest.
The shrub forms a robust, fairly informal bush, reaching mature heights of 120-140cm. It flowers repeatedly and abundantly throughout the season, providing a constant source of beauty and fragrance.
